ANZAC Day March Brisbane
ANZAC Day 2018 is fast approaching and planning is well under way. Many of the details with regards to the March and locations will remain the same as last year with exception of the start time. The RAEME Association (RAQ) need to be formed up and ready to step off from around 1100hrs. Order of March is Group 5 No.65. Please invite all of your friends and family to come along watch the March and join the association at the Port Office Hotel for the after-march gathering and luncheon.
The RAEME Association Queensland (RAQ) contingent will form up in the vicinity of Mary and Albert Street Intersection. The contingent numbers will be displayed (in order) by volunteer marshals holding paddles. The RAQ banner will also be proudly displayed at the front of the contingent.
Assistance: If you require a wheelchair or a seat in a Golf Cart to be able to participate in the march or assistance to get to the Function, please contact Max Walker by phone or email and he will organise the service for you.

On Anzac Day, free travel is available on all services for Defence Force personnel and veterans in uniform or wearing service medals. Details are available from Translink.
Parking
The link below is to an offer from Wilson Parking on Anzac Day. You should be aware that there may be access restrictions to 123 Albert Street & 12 Creek Street car parks after 6:30am due to barrier placement to accommodate the Parade participants.
However Riverside Centre Car Park should offer admission after 6:30am and would also enable access to the Buggy Shuttle area at the junction of Creek & Elizabeth Streets.

This is in addition to the normal Council Car Park $5 Public Holiday rate in King George Square etc, however that cannot be pre-booked.
Post March Function
For those members attending the post March function, we again have a great deal for the pre-purchase of tickets, please print out your E-ticket and bring it along on the day. It will be exchanged for your Entry, Meal and Drink vouchers. We will have a committee member at the FUP to exchange tickets for vouchers and again at the door of the Port Office Hotel. Pre-Purchase tickets are available for sale on our website.
The Port Office private RAEME function will be open from approx 1130hrs and the Buffet Meal will be served from approx 1200-1430hrs on the day. Feel free to gather / sit where you are comfortable. However, the three fixed tables / booths adjacent to the toilets have been reserved for some of our older members.
